Using foodian

General Info

Recipes

There are two ways to create a recipe

  1. Copy a URL from a favorite recipe web site:
    • Find a recipe you like on a website like foodnetwork.com or all recipies.com
    • Highlight the url in the browser address bar: "http://allrecipes.com/recipe/229733/simple-roasted-butternut-squash/"
    • Go to the foodian main page and click the Recipes menu
    • Click the New Recipe button
    • Paste the recipe url into the URL field
    • Click the Create Recipe button
  2. Enter a recipe from scratch:
    • Go to the foodian main page and click the Recipes menu
    • Click the New Recipe button
    • Enter your ingredients into the ingredients fields
    • Enter your instructions into the instructions fields
    • Click the Create Recipe button
    • *If you need more ingredients lines, create the recipe and come back and edit it

  • food.com

Menus

To create a menu:

  1. Go to the foodian main page and click the Menus menu
  2. Click the New Menu button
  3. Enter a name and description
  4. Select all the recipes to include from the selector list
  5. Click the Create Menu button

Shares

To create a share:

  1. Go to the recipe or menu you want to share
  2. Select a friend to share with through the dropdown selector
  3. Click the Share with Friends button
