Preheat oven to 275℉
Remove the membrane from the back of the rack of ribs
Season both sides of the ribs with salt and pepper
Sprinkle the garlic powder and paprika on the top side of the ribs
Double wrap the ribs in aluminum foil
Bake the ribs on a rimmed baking sheet for 3 hours
If using the BBQ sauce, set the oven to low broil. Remove the ribs from the oven and unwrap leaving one layer of aluminum foil underneath the ribs. Evenly spread the BBQ sauce over the ribs. Place the ribs on the top rack in the broiler for 5 minutes to finish the sauce
Let the ribs rest for 5 minutes and then serve
